More content is coming to Netflix. This isn’t a big shocker as the company has invested $8 billion in content this year alone. However, they are looking to spend even more. Now, they have signed a straight-to-series order for a dark comedy featuring Will Farrell called Dead to Me.
This half-hour sitcom will span over 10 episodes. It follows Liz Feldman of 2 Broke Girls fame, who also wrote and executive produced this feature, as a wound up widow who meets a free spirit who has a dark secret, presumably Ferrell.
Feldman recently signed a new deal with CBS Television Studios. The production company will also be working with Netflix on this endeavor. The two powerhouses have started an amicable relationship as they have worked together now on Insatiable and Unbelievable.
No word yet on when production for Dead to Me will start or when it will air. We will keep you updated as the story unfolds.
