Cable television is the Titanic and all of the networks are jumping ship in droves to cater toward cord cutters. Desperate networks are trying to keep their brands alive by creating streaming services that are solely available through their own app. That way loyal fans of networks who didn’t want to pay the astronomical cable prices jacked up by expensive sports package can still watch the shows they know and love.
Viacom is the next major media corporation turning toward its own streaming service.
This new ad-supported streaming service will contain thousands of hours of content from Viacom’s vault.
Viacom owns assets such as:
- Comedy Central
- Logo TV
- Paramount Network (Formerly Spike)
- Paramount Movies
- TV Land
This service is expected to be available by the end of the year. As we get more information, we will be sure to share it with you.
