Cord cutters everywhere have taken their cable money and put it toward Sling TV (and pocket the additional money they’ve saved from switching to Sling TV). Sling TV is one of the best alternatives to getting your cable channels “back” without the cost. Sling has three affordable packages to choose from, plus additional add-ons for a few extra dollars every month. Sometimes they even add on channels for free such as NFL Network and NBC On-Demand.
Sling recently added NFL Network and NBC on demand to the Sling Blue package at no cost. Sling is always making improvements and not charging you for them…. how cable should be! NFL Network was recently added to the Sling Blue package as an additional channel, at no cost!
According to Sling TV’s press release regarding adding the NFL Network it “will deliver Thursday Night Football games, popular shows such as NFL GameDay Morning, A Football Life, TIMELINE and the new morning show, Good Morning Football, which airs live each weekday morning from New York City. Additionally, with NFL Network fans can watch live and delayed coverage of the entire slate of all 64 NFL preseason games.” If that’s not enough for the football fanatic in you, for $5 more per month you can purchase the sports package add on where they added NFL RedZone which will broadcast every game on Sunday afternoons.
For the daytime TV and reality show fanatics Sling TV recently launched NBC On-Demand. If you are a Sling Blue package holder this feature has already been added to the package at again, no cost! Superstore, The Voice and America’s Got Talent, just to name a few will be at your fingertips the day after that week’s show airs.
Sling offers three more than affordable packages to choose from with difference being in price and what networks are shown. Here are your package options:
- Sling Orange
- $20 per month
- 25+ channels including ESPN, CNN, HGTV, Lifetime and more
- Sling Blue
- $25 per month
- 40 + channels including Fox, NBC, FX, SyFy and more
- Orange + Blue
- $40 per month
- All the channels in both the orange and blue sling packages
Choosing between the Orange and Blue package or both is based entirely on your budget and network preferences. It is probably in your best interest though to stick with Sling Blue if you don’t want to pay the full $40 for both the orange and blue packages. It seems as if Sling TV has been adding more and more to Sling Blue at no cost to you and only $5 per month more than the basic Orange package. From the history of Sling TV’s add on’s they tend to add most new networks that are free of charge to the Blue package.
