Just one year ago, Poker Central did what we thought was pulling the plug on their network. We now know that instead, they were just cutting the cord. Poker Central will be reintroducing its PokerGo platform from a Las Vegas studio. This time around, PokerGo is going over-the-top (OTT).
As explained by Chief Digital Officer of Poker Central, J.R. McCabe,
“Nearly a year ago we set out to create a digital-first poker network that would showcase some of the world’s best tournaments and lifestyle content—both on and off the felt. While this studio marks the fulfillment of that goal, it also doubles as a promise to our loyal viewers—to continually expand our programming slate, offer even more tournaments at all levels and get fans even closer to the mind sport they love.”
- Main Studio
- Number of Sound Stages
- Break Desk
- Streaming Lounge
They will also livestream these events, which will be produced by ESP Gaming.
ESP Gaming’s President, Leff Liboon, stated,
“With demand for our esports production services continuing to grow, we needed a home to host more tournaments and competitions at broadcast-quality levels so we could continue to deliver best-in-class esports content to audiences worldwide. This partnership with Poker Central gives us the ability to bring the best in live esports to new fans and create a preeminent location for developers to elevate their leading titles from game to sport.”
Expected to coincide with the launch is the return of popular Poker Central original shows such as:
- Major Wager
- Poker Nights
- Stories from the Felt
- Super High Roller Club
While the facility is expected to open next month, there’s been no confirmation if this OTT service will roll-out at the same time.
