Roku announced last week that they and their partner, Hisense, are launching a new line of televisions. This smart TV will be Roku-powered with 4K quality. It’s name will be the R6 and upon release will officially be the first 4K Roku TV made from the Hisense brand.
In 2016, Roku’s smart TV endeavor made up for 13% of all smart TV sales throughout the United States.
The TVs will come in three different sizes and price points:
- 50 inch – $450
- 55 inch – $550
- 64 inch – $800
On top of being a 4K television, it is also has 4K HDR TV capabilities for a cleaner picture. Blacks will be deeper and more defined, and more colors will be distinguishable with this television.
The R6 also comes prepped:
- Audio Output
- Digital Audio Output
- RCA Video Output
- 3 HDMI Ports
Hinsense released a statement on their website about this new television:

Being a Roku-powered television, the R6 will allow users access to over 4,5000 Roku Channels that include the ever popular go-to’s Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix.
