How AT&T Wireless Users Can Save Big with DIRECTV NOW

As a means of survival, cable providers may find that they need to cut the cord themselves. The first of the major cable companies to jump on this bandwagon is AT&T owned DIRECTV NOW.

DIRECTV NOW offers livestreaming, On-Demand, and soon, DVR. These are all the things that cable subscribers know and love.

As it is, DIRECTV NOW is cheaper than your run-of-the-mill cable subscription. However, it is about to get a whole lot cheaper if you are an AT&T Wireless subscriber. Seeing as the AT&T owns DIRECTV NOW, there are perks and discounts for having both services. Let’s break down the savings.

DIRECTV NOW Tiers and Prices

There are 4 different packages to choose from when you sign up for DIRECTV NOW. They are:

  • Live a Little – $35 per month, 60+ channels
  • Just Right – $50 per month, 80+ channels
  • Go Big – $60 per month, 100+ channels
  • Gotta Have It – $70 per month, 120+ channels

All of these options come with a 7-day free trial. If the service is not for you, then you can opt out. Soon there will be a $15 per month tier called AT&T Watch. We don’t know many details other than it would most likely be free of sports.

Additionally, you can add pay services to your account as well. This includes:

  • HBO – $5 per month
  • Cinemax – $5 per month
  • Showtime – $8 per month
  • Starz – 8 per month

Discounted AT&T Wireless – DIRECTV NOW Prices

If you watch a lot of TV on your phone, this is where the discounts come in handy. If you stream through the DIRECTV NOW app on any of your AT&T registered devices, it will not count against your monthly data usage.

Also, if you are a member of the AT&T Unlimited Plus Enhanced plan, then you will receive a $15 discount for DIRECTV NOW.

Lastly, you know that $5 extra for HBO? That’s waived for AT&T Wireless users. In fact, HBO is free even if you don’t have DIRECTV NOW, but you have AT&T. All you need to do is access HBO through the HBO Go or DIRECTV NOW app.
