YouTube TV may be the newest kid on the block of livestreaming, but they also may be one of the most innovate. The Google owned streaming service is allowing you to reconfigure your channel guides to fit your needs.
You know when you’re browsing through your channel guide, you sift through a bunch of useless channels that you’re positive you will never watch? That doesn’t need to happen anymore for some YouTube TV subscribers. You can remove channels that you don’t watch and rearrange by priority. Also, if you get in too deep you can go back to default settings.
This is a quiet roll-out and not everyone has it yet. You can find the Custom Live Guide option in your YouTube TV Account Settings. Also, here are some screenshots courtesy of Droidlife:We don’t have confirmation but this may just be a beta tester-only roll-out as well. If all goes well, it will be interesting to see if other streaming services will follow suit. So, if you want to get in on the action sign up to be a Roku, DIRECTV NOW, or Hulu beta tester to get in on the fun first.
