Sling TV announced today that they have added WeatherNation to their lineup. The once popular website destination, WeatherNation recently stopped their live stream through their official website. However, they have maintained active updates on their apps on devices such as iPhones and Roku players. Now, the 24/7 weather service will also be available through Sling TV over the next six months.
Ankit Bishnoi, the Director of Content Acquisition and Strategy for Sling TV spoke on this new endeavor, stating,
“The addition of WeatherNation to our lineup further solidifies Sling TV’s position as the
premiere destination for OTT (over-the-top) content.”
The President of WeatherNation, Michael Norton, spoke on the rollout of the weather service onto Sling TV. He stated,
“We’re extremely pleased to add Sling TV to our growing list of distributors. When OTT platforms like Sling can provide core programming that viewers love, at an industry-leading price, then everybody wins —especially consumers.”
