Sling TV Dips Toe Into Pay-Per-View Waters

Perhaps as a soft launch before the epic Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor fight we talked about a couple of weeks ago, Sling TV is going to host its first Pay-Per-View event on July 29, 2017. Saturday night will see the long-awaited UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2. Emanating live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, the event will be available for Sling TV subscribers to the tune of $59.99.

Roger Lynch, the CEO of Sling TV talked about this trek into new waters stating,

“Since we launched in 2015, we have focused on putting customers first, while pushing boundaries no other live OTT service has gone near. Integrating UFC 214 directly into the Sling TV experience is the next step in Sling TV becoming a true cable replacement.”

If you would like to pre-order the event, log into “My Account” on Sling TV. Click on the UFC 2014 banner and a new channel will appear in the user’s guide. Content will start to stream, including pre-shows as the event begins on July 29. No future Pay-Per-View events have been announced for Sling TV following this historic event.
