PlayStation Vue has rolled out a bunch of new updates this past week. Perhaps the notable is that you can now bring your PlayStation Vue DVR with you wherever you go.
In the past, in order to access your DVR on a mobile device through PlayStation Vue, the system needed to sync with your home network before watching on a mobile device.
Now, this is no longer necessary. Using other Wi-Fi networks or through LTE data, you can access your PlayStation Vue DVR on any smartphone device.
Other added updates for PlayStation Vue include:
- Holding the “select” button on a show in the menu will launch a sub-menu. Here you can find out info from the channel, watch the newest episode, or remove the show from your list of programs.
- The DVR recordings are no longer hidden away in the My Shows tab. You can access DVR settings whenever you run across a show the guide.
- You can now restart live TV that is setup through the DVR. Now when you access a show that is in process of being recorded, you have the option of starting from the beginning or watching live.
