Beginning in October, Sony will be increasing the prices for 97% of their PlayStation Vue subscribers. 203 out of 210 markets that carry the streaming service will be seeing a price increase in the coming month that will reach a minimum of $39.99 a month.
This announcement comes on the heels of PlayStation Vue removing their least expensive plan. The original model that started the streaming service was called the “Slim” plan. This lighter package was used in the beta markets that were the guinea pigs prior to unrolling into the 210 markets where PlayStation Vue is now available. Up until recently the “Slim” package was $29.99 per month.
If you are not willing to pay the extra $10 for the service, you need to opt out of you renewal before your next October billing cycle. Does this make you want to ditch PlayStation Vue? Sound off below!
