Following the all-encompassing console that PlayStation Vue and X Box One has become, Nintendo is making its headway into the world of streaming television. This past Thursday, it was announced that joining Nintendo Switch’s e-shop will be a free download of Hulu.

From there, existing users can access their account. New users can subscribe and sign up for one of 2 plans. The first being just access to Hulu’s On-Demand content for $8 per month. The second tier would still allow access to the On-Demand content, but for $40 a month you also get Hulu’s much awaited live-streaming service.

Nintendo has for the most part been a gaming first console. This is their first foray into the world of cord-cutting. No word yet if any other media apps are soon to follow. We will keep you  posted.
