Not too long ago, we noted that Hallmark Movies was planning on going over-the-top with their own streaming service. The official launch of this awaited app will be tomorrow, October 10, 2017.
Hallmark Movies will replace Feeln on streaming devices. All Feeln subscriptions will be transferred to and honored by Hallmark Movies. With this app, you will gain access to all of Hallmark’s acclaimed movies and television shows, including decades-worth of “Hallmark Hall of Fame” films.
The greeting card-turned-production company also plans on releasing a new cable channel called Hallmark Drama. Balancing the future in cord-cutting but staying true to the tested cable model is a fine line.
Hallmark Crown Media CEO, Bill Abbot spoke about this balance,
“It’s our view that the ecosystem is still very strong and the big package of multiple cable networks is still a value and provides a great television option. The skinny bundle is great if you’re maybe a single person or not that big a fan of TV, but if you’re in a household with more than one person and those people have a variety of interests, the skinny bundle doesn’t do it.”
