How to Catch March Madness if You are a Cord-Cutter

We are a full week into March which means one thing for NCAA sports fans, March Madness is upon us. With the tournament set to kick off on March 13 and run through the rest of the month, fantasy leagues are conjuring up who will make the 64 slots for the annual college basketball event. Sports is a double-edge sword for many cord-cutters. While sports is the reason that cable is so high in the first place, and the number one reason why people are cutting the cord, sports are also the number one reason why people stay with cable. To offset that, PlayStation Vue has made sports a priority, and now many networks and services are following suit including CBS Sports and NBC Sports.

While last year, March Madness proved to be a bust for Amazon Prime, it is still one of the most hotly watched events all year long. Now more than ever, joining in on the festivities are a piece of cake if you are a cord-cutter. Here are the many ways you can catch March Madness 2018:

CBS

The major games during March Madness will air on CBS. So, if your local affiliate is available with live-streaming services, you may catch the most talked about games on:

TBS, TNT, and TruTV

The biggest games on CBS are the easiest to navigate. However, the obscure, out-of-market games can be seen on these cable networks. This is where the cord-cutting options begin to differ. You can catch select games on:

Bypass everything else and download the March Madness app for access to numerous, but not all. While you will get all CBS games, the network ones are select. Plus,  you need a cable network log-in to get through to the games on TBS, TNT, and TruTV.
