PlayStation Vue recently had a spoiler built into its service that the growing streaming platform is looking to snuff out for those not looking for the alert. If you used PlayStation Vue’s DVR service to record a sports game recently, the score most likely popped up as soon as you opened the recording.
This is due to a feature PlayStation Vue implemented earlier this year. As part of an update, PlayStation Vue made it so that the viewer can see the current score of games while inside the program guide. This may be handy, but it also sets people up for a spoiler. The final score pops up for all completed games when chosen from the DVR queue.
As annoying as this may be, it is fixable. If you would like to turn off this option, go to the PlayStation Vue website and sign into your account. From there, click on your name, which is located in the top right hand corner of the screen. Once there, click Settings. While inside the Settings page, you will see an option named “Sports Settings.” ONce you click that, turn the “Show Scores” section off.
Now you will be spoiler-free. However, you will also not be able to access the scores of any games at any point in the guide or in your DVR queue unless you toggle that option back to on.
