fuboTV’s Huge Roku Update and Enters Agreement with AMC

fuboTV has rolled out a new update on Roku that comes with many features that were not previously available. The official new features include:

  • The ability to continue watching VOD content from where you left off
  • New EPG with 7-day lookahead
  • Updated network pages
  • More quality of life and functionality fixes including a “What’s New” card that gives users a tutorial of new features every time the app is upgraded

fuboTV is really looking to expand. First they created a new add-on to their subscriber package. Now they have made this update. Next, they are looking to up their content.

In fact, they have enter an agreement to stream AMC Network content. This coincides with AMC Networks denying that they will have their own standalone service.By the end of March 2018, fuboTV subscribers will have access to content from:

  • AMC
  • BBC America
  • IFC
  • Sundance

President of Distribution for AMC Networks stated,

“fuboTV is fast-becoming a popular streaming option for viewers who want access to the best live sports and entertainment content available on any device and we are pleased to bring our popular, distinct and culturally relevant networks and streaming services to their line-up. AMC Networks’ brands and content are highly sought after by consumers, who increasingly enjoy our shows, across multiple platforms.”

With this agreement in place, you will be able to access AMC Networks’ on-demand vault with your fuboTV credentials. An excited Chief Financial Officer for fuboTV, Joel Armijo, stated,

“We are excited to have AMC Networks—one of the industry’s most innovative and exciting media companies—as our newest strategic partner. Not only will our subscribers soon have access to entertainment content that drives some of the biggest audiences on TV, we are also looking forward to building on our partnership in the days and weeks to come.”
