iTunes has come down on the price of Hulu’s commercial-free subscription. Before this week, if you purchased Hulu through Apple’s e-store, the price was $13.99, a $2.00 increase over the price you would pay by signing up for the service through an iOS or tvOS platform.
The original reason for the $2.00 price hike was that iTunes charged a convenience fee for using their store. However, that transaction charge has been waived going forward. It is important to note that as of press time, this decrease in price only applies to the commercial-free tier of Hulu.
In other Hulu subscription news, the limited commercial option which typically runs at $7.99 also has a $2.00 discount, coming in at the low price of $5.99 per month within the first year. This is a limited time offer, and we are unsure when this promotion is slated to end.
