Amazon’s New Original Gets Premiere Date

Amazon’s latest original television series, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, has received an official premiere date…sort of. It’s been announced that the show will drop sometime in August 2018.
While the storyline will be all-new and original, the showrunners maintain that the series will uphold the character’s integrity. The protagonist of the show, Jack Ryan, is played by John Krasinski.
Ryan is a hotshot CIA analyst making his way up the ranks. He finally reaches the pinnacle–a dangerous on-the-field assignment shrouded with terrorism.
The announcement of the Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’s premiere month was indicated on the show’s upcoming Superbowl ad. Mike Benson, Head of Marketing at Amazon Studios spoke about this upcoming ad, stating,

“Given the colossal scope and scale of the series coupled with the popularity of Tom Clancy’s novels, we knew Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan would be a natural fit for Prime Video’s first Super Bowl ad. The global nature of the audience provides us with a unique opportunity to give viewers a look at this thrilling new series coming to Prime.”
