The NBA is trying to get as many viewers as possible. With the playoffs coming up, the basketball league is looking for new ways to get their fans invested in their product. After opening the League Pass to Sling TV, followed by the Team Pass, the NBA is now sending Push Notifications to NBA app users enticing them to pay .99 for 4th quarter game access.

For sports fanatics, this is a great option because it allows them to tune into a game whose scoreboard looks enticing. It’s also the first step toward being able to purchase games a la carte. Could this be the future for the NBA? We will keep you updated as more details come to light.
